Fira Basuki is a published writer and a former chief editor of Cosmopolitan Magazine. Graduated from Communication, Journalism, and Public Relations, Pittsburg State University and Wichita State University, US. Her career spans more than 20 years, working for various media outlets in Indonesia and overseas. Her published novels including a trilogy: Jendela-Jendela, Pintu, Atap; Biru, Rojak and many more. She participated at Singapore Writer's Festival in 2011. Her memoar, Fira and Hafez, was adopted into film entitled Cinta Selamanya (2015).


Zen writes shortstory, poems, essays and literary criticism. His published works including Rumah Kawin (2004), a short story collection and Paus Merah Jambu (2007), a poetry collection which was received The Best Literary Work 2007 from Tempo Magazine. His latest book is a short story collection in three languages (Indonesian, German, English) The Red Bowl and Other Stories (2015).

Yandy Laurens has started to gain recognition as a director and writer since his short film 'Wan An (2012)' won the Citra Cup in 2012. His webseries 'Sore (2016)' and 'Mengakhiri Cinta Dalam Tiga Episode (2018)' also received a generally good reception from YouTube viewers. 'Keluarga Cemara (2019)' became his first feature film and has been watched by more than 1.7 million Indonesian viewers.

Started writing since the beginning of 2016. Aside from winning several short story writing competitions, his work was published in media such as Harian Kompas, Femina Magazine, Esquire Indonesia Magazine, and so on. In 2018, Wisnu's short story successfully won as the Short Story of Kompas 2017. He just published a historical fiction genre novel called "Rahasia Salinem", and a freelance editor.

William Letford’s debut collection Bevel was published by Carcanet in 2012. He has received a New Writer’s Award from the Scottish Book Trust, an Edwin Morgan Travel Bursary, which allowed him to spend three months helping to restore a medieval village in the mountains of northern Italy, and a Creative Scotland Artist’s Bursary, which involved six months travelling through India. He has taken part in translation projects in Latvia, Lebanon, Iraq, and Palestine.

Wikan Satriati writes children short stories and picture books. Ahmad and His Little Lamb won two awards from Islamic Book Award 2017 as the best Islamic children book and best illustration. Of Stars and Prayers and Walking with the Name of God was translated into Malay and published by PTS Malaysia, 2015. Wikan works as publication manager at the Lontar Foundation, a non-profit organization whose primary goal is promoting Indonesian literature to a world readership.

Born in Kuala Lumpur into a Salatiga family, Wani Ardy is a published author, a poet-performer, a singer-songwriter, and a creative writing educator. She is also active as an MRKH Syndrome advocate. Including the recent well-received 'The Art of Letting Go(d)', Wani has published 10 books since 2009, 2 of which are best sellers; 'Langit Vanilla' and 'Untuk Yang Telah Pergi'. She had represented Malaysia at poetry and art festivals in Sydney, Makassar, Jakarta, and Singapore. Along with her 7-piece band WIDYA, Wani turns memoir into lyrics and stories into songs.

Toni Pollard, a teacher of Indonesian language in Australia since 1967 and NAATI qualified translator, took up literary translation on her retirement from the University of Western Sydney in 2004. Working mostly with Jakarta-based Lontar Foundation, Mizan, and the Ubud Writers and Readers Festival in Bali, Toni’s translations include many novels and short story collections by both emerging Indonesian writers and well-known authors such as NH Dini, Hanna Rambe, Djokolelono and Gus tf Sakai.

Timmy Djawa Burarrwanga belongs to the Gumatj clan. He is a well-respected father, business operator, cultural and community leader. In 2010-2011 he was appointed to the Expert Panel on Constitutional Recognition of Indigenous Australians. Djawa is Chairman of the Yirrkala Dhanbul Aboriginal Corporation, which works with the Bunuwal Group and is a voice for the people of Yirrkala and represents Yolngu in both government and business initiatives.
